I am very excited to have returned to Midtown Memphis in 2009 after leaving to study Chinese medicine in San Diego, CA. For a long time I have wanted to be able to provide quality, preventative health care to anyone who wanted it. True health is so much more than the lack of disease, it is allowing the full potential of your body, mind, and spirit to shine and radiate through your entire being. Chinese medicine is the perfect vehicle for aiding this process as its ability to diagnose underlying patterns of imbalance before they manifest in symptoms allows real preventative medicine to take place.

In 4 ½ years of graduate school I studied a broad range of course work taught by an amazing group of teachers*. My major concentrations were in classical Chinese herbology, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, pain management, psychology, Asian therapeutic bodywork (tuina, shiatsu, Thai), and acupuncture (Japanese meridian, orthopedic, auricular, scalp).

I worked at Rady's Children’s Hospital, San Diego, in the Hematology/Oncology unit treating pediatric patients (both in- and out-patient) with Chinese Medicine. I provided acupuncture and therapeutic massage (tuina) to children in the Chronic Pain program as part of the Integrative Medicine unit there as well. In a downtown San Diego free Chinese Medicine clinic for seniors I was able to work with stroke victims, Alzheimer's patients, and a varied group of geriatric patients.

From 2007-2009, I worked with the Fertile Soul, an organization dedicated to helping couples with fertility issues through lifestyle changes, acupuncture, and Chinese herbalism. In this capacity I worked with many women and men from around the world at retreats here in the US and through phone consultations.

I hold a Master of Science of Traditional Oriental Medicine as well as a degree in Oriental Body Therapy from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. I am nationally licensed as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Tennessee.
